Triathlon: 500m Pool Swim - Fast 19km Cycle - Flat 6.5km Run

Proud winners of Triathlon Scotland's Inspirational Event of the Year 2018, the MacQueen Bros Mid Argyll Triathlon aspires to be a sporting event which promotes local community participation balanced with the right degree of sporting competition. This provides an opportunity for novices to line up with some of the best age group triathletes from across Scotland. Affiliated to TriathlonScotland, the national body for triathlon in Scotland, the event is now a regular fixture on the national events calendar.

Aquathlon: 500m Pool Swim - Flat 2.5km Run

Mid Argyll Triathlon and Cycle Club are pleased to offer an aquathlon event alongside our popular annual sprint triathlon. We’re really excited about running this event for the first time in 2024. Competitors will undertake a 500m pool swim, followed by a 2.5km run on the flat Crinan Canal. You don’t need to worry about remembering what to do in transition, dealing with road traffic or bike mechanical issues. Instead, all you need to compete is a pair of goggles and some running shoes. We all lead busy lives and another bonus of an aquathon is that you only need to train for two sports!

Arguably the biggest multi sport event in Mid-Argyll, the MacQueen Bros Mid Argyll Triathlon and Aquathlon is always expected to sell-out, so if you want to be on the start line, then get your entry in promptly.

Run by a small but dedicated committee, the event is centred at the Mid Argyll Community Pool in Lochgilphead and the organisers welcome all entrants, whether individual or team entry.
